One of my favorite shows…! Felt like drawing something other than my stuff tonight-so I drew my fave characters…Dr. Venture is my absolute fave, followed by Hank and Dean. If you have no idea who the Venture Bros are, you’re missing out! It’s nerd-filled fun.
Got a little tired of web stuff (which hopefully I’ll have more stuff up by the end of the evening tonight)-so I kind of drew this out and inked it with a Sharpie pen over the last day and a half. Sometimes it just feels good to just…draw.
My Kids and Robots crew. I’m still working on this-I’m writing everything out-and I want to do something kind of unusual with it. In my head it works, we’ll have to see if it really does everything I want to when I start working on it.
I am the slowest person ever. I think the first kid and robot illustration I did was back in…2007. 3 years later-I manage to color the 8th out of the 10. >< Anyways-this is another of the defects (the last three are defects.) I couldn’t think of what to call him yet, so I didn’t name him. But the coloring changes noticeably from 1-7. Blah. Anyways-I want to illustrate out the whole story I have in my head for these guys. So I’m sure it’ll only take me, like, 5 years or something.
Welcome to my updated site! I was going to upload the whole thing in one whole fell swoop-but I’m needing to make sure things work here and there-so some sections will be under construction for a little bit while I’m still working it out. It’s 2010-meaning it’s thankfully no longer 2009 (let’s just put that whole year behind us, huh?)-and hopefully this new decade will start off a little bit more pleasantly than the last one ended. After ringing in the New Year with a horrible cold (brought on by the traveling, moving, going from snow to rain to warm weather)-I am able to post up some stuff I did while I was flying from LA to NY. Flying is not my favorite thing, being stuck on a plane behind a family of four toddlers whining and crying for over 4 hours straight certainly didn’t help the cause on the way back. But! Airports and airplanes give me plenty of time to doodle-and I started my back story on a kids with robots thing. (I don’t know why I have robots on the brain. I think I wish I were one-so I wouldn’t have to worry about eating and sleeping and all that). I did link to iPhone pics of some of these on Twitter (but iPhone pics aren’t very good. Scanners are better).
